those encompass both BAA and K's

nobody was discounting BAA......but its a difference of less than a .010......which is essentially even

CGs are a much different stat......especially when you consider the IP per start

If his numbers hold up the rest of the season he'll win the Cy Young. 2nd in wins, first in era, and first in K's in the league. Has a pitcher ever done that and not won the Cy Young?

santana may finish behind him in k's but will have a better era, whip and k/bb

peavy will also be right there at the end of the season also

if you think that he finishes near those guys in stats and wont lose votes to them then you really dont know how it works

those 3 (johan, peavy and webb) have 4 CYAs between them already

if it came down to those 4........your boy finishes 4th in voting

last year beckett had 15 fewer k's than cc did in 40 less innings

beckett won 20 games cc didnt

yet beckett didnt win it
